Maren Morris and Shaquille O’Neal’s Hilarious Height Difference Photo

The event in Las Vegas was a benefit for the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation. Maren Morris was one of five artists who played. In a funny Instagram post on Saturday, Maren Morris made fun of the fact that she is a lot shorter than NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

“Tall Guys,” she wrote in the photo’s caption, which seems to mean that she likes men who are taller than her. Her husband, country singer Ryan Hurd, is also taller than the small singer.

Shaq, who is 32 years old, was in Vegas to perform at The Event, a benefit for Shaq’s The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation. This foundation helps underprivileged young people in Las Vegas and Atlanta with the help of the Boys & Girls Club and Communities in Schools.

At the second annual charity event, rock stars like Maroon 5, Pitbull, and H.E.R. performed, and John Mulaney did a set of stand-up comedies.

In a statement announcing that the event would happen again this year, the former NBA star called last year’s event a “lifetime highlight.” “The evening is about fans, sports and entertainment stars, and business leaders coming together to make a difference in the lives of kids.”

Morris married Hurd in 2018. He often makes jokes about the difference in height between the two of them. In May, she posted a series of videos on TikTok that made fun of the height of her husband. She wrote in the video’s caption, “They keep me looking up when I’m feeling down.” She also used the hashtag # TallGuys, which she used for her photo with Shaq.

In a behind-the-scenes clip from the same video, she joked that Hurd was “really milking” the height difference. He said, “So are you!”

Hayes Andrew, who is 2 years old, went on tour with Morris for a month this summer. She said that when he was with her in August, he “came to life” and “talked more than ever.”

Even though there was a great lineup of performers, the night was really about O’Neal’s work with charities.

He started the organization in 2019, working with the Boys & Girls Club and Communities in Schools in Las Vegas and Atlanta, two groups that were “close to his heart,” to give underprivileged young people opportunities.

A big part of his annual benefit is the live auction, where people can bid on things like spending time with a famous basketball player at his house and playing HORSE. In another part, Issa Rae took part in a table reading.

Through auctions and ticket sales, the event raised $2.9 million for children in need in 2021. This goal was surpassed on Saturday when $3.15 million was raised.
