Jack Harlow as “SNL” Host and Musical Guest

When Saturday Night Live comes back after a week off on Oct. 29, Jack Harlow will be the host and a musical guest.

SNL made the announcement on Saturday night’s show, which was hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, another artist who was doing double duty. Harlow was a co-host on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this month, which gave her some experience with hosting.

Since SNL won’t be on next week, rumors that Taylor Swift would appear on the Oct. 22 show to promote her new album Midnights, which came out the day before, were also put to rest.

The last time SNL had two hosts at once was in Season 47 when Billie Eilish and Lizzo did it. Megan Thee Stallion and Harlow are the first double hosts since then. In recent years, Harry Styles, Chance the Rapper, Nick Jonas, and Halsey have also been musical guests and hosts.

Like all of those other artists, Harlow started out as just a musical guest before moving on to the monologue and sketches. The rapper’s first episode of SNL was hosted by Maya Rudolph in March 2021, and he was also in a rap about NFTs led by Pete Davidson.

Harlow’s North American tour in support of Come Home the Kids Miss You ends tonight in Atlanta.
