Jimmy Smith disputes his WWE commentator title.

Jimmy Smith’s short time with WWE ended earlier this week when the company switched up its broadcast teams and let go of the former “Raw” play-by-play man. Smith is grateful for his time in WWE, but now that he’s out, there seems to be one thing he can’t wait to do again. Smith said what it was on the last episode of “MMA on SiriusXM.”

Smith said, “First of all, I wasn’t a commentator for the WWE.” ” I wasn’t, no. In a play, I played a TV commentator. And that’s not an insult. I’m not saying that it wasn’t hard, because it was. It was actually very hard. But it’s like you’re a character acting like you have something to say about fake fights…

And I had a question about someone who said, “Man, you look at the screen all the time.” I said, “Yes, because you shouldn’t pay attention to anything that isn’t on the screen.” “I don’t get what the fans don’t get.”

Yeah, I see Finn Balor running into the ring with a chair in his hands. I’m not blind. But they don’t show it until he hits Edge over the head with a chair, so I’m not supposed to notice it. So I shouldn’t be able to see it until everyone else can. So I’m like, blinding myself, literally. I have blinders on. I just watched the stream.

I won’t tell you what’s really going on or what you can’t see, which is kind of the fun part of doing commentary. It’s being able to do deep analysis, which you can’t really do in WWE, or having a clear vision, which you can’t really do in WWE. ” Yeah, I see Finn Balor running into the ring with a chair in his hands.
