Kaley Cuoco Says 'I Only Had Eyes for Big Bang Theory Costar Johnny Galecki

Kaley Cuoco Says ‘I Only Had Eyes for Big Bang Theory Costar Johnny Galecki:

In a new oral history of The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco’s “crush” on her character, who doesn’t know what’s going on, is talked about, as well as how their first kiss on camera was “uncomfortable.” Kaley Cuoco doesn’t feel bad about falling in love with Johnny Galecki the moment she saw him.

On CBS’s hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco, who is 36, and Galecki, who is 47, played Penny and Leonard Hofstadter from 2007 to 2019. Along the way, they fell in love and were together from 2008 to 2010. The two people who used to date talk about how they met in an excerpt from an upcoming oral history of the show. Cuoco said, “I really liked Johnny when I was younger.”

We were both with other people at the time, but I could only think about Johnny. When I found out that he liked me too, I thought, “Oh no, this is going to be bad.”
But Galecki didn’t know that Cuoco liked him at first.

“I have a healthy ego, but you have to hit me over the head to let me know you’re flirting with me,” he said. “I didn’t know what a crush was before I went out with Kaley.” But Cuoco says that even before they told each other they liked each other outside of work, their characters had “chemistry.”

“All the scenes we saw before we actually met showed that there was always something there. We were attracted to each other and liked each other. We did that the whole first season until we finally got together. ”

Cuoco brought up Penny’s sexy kitten costume from Leonard’s Halloween party when she talked about Penny’s first kiss with Leonard, which was also the actors’ first kiss.

“I knew I looked cute in that outfit, so I felt great about myself,” the Meet Cute star said with a laugh. He had already told me how cute I looked in that outfit, so I knew he liked how I looked. But before that kiss, I was very nervous. Galecki spoke up and asked, “I mean, Kaley Cuoco as a cat?” “C’mon!”

But Cuoco did admit, “I was very nervous for both of our first kisses, on-screen and in real life.” I mean, I kissed him as Penny before we started dating, and it’s weird to like someone and kiss them in their acting roles.” When asked when they finally gave in to their feelings for each other, the actors pointed to the 14th episode of season 1, “The Nerdvana Annihilation,” in which Leonard saves Penny from falling down an elevator shaft in a dream.

Cuoco says that filming the scene wasn’t very fun, but she does think that “we fell a little in love in that elevator shaft.”
Galecki said, “I agree,” and “We did feel something. I think that really changed how we felt about each other. At that point, both she and I knew that we both felt something, and that trying to ignore it would take us away from our work more than if we just admitted it and gave in to it.

Over time, the two people got closer and closer until Galecki asked Cuoco out for a drink right then and there. ” I was so happy when he texted me. I was like, “Oh my God. I knew it would be hard to get a glass of wine with him. I knew. We had a kiss at the bar! She said, with a laugh, “It’s so dark in there that you almost feel like you can do anything.” But then I thought, “Oh no, I think this is going to be really bad.”

She said, “We kissed at the bar first, and then in the parking lot.” ” I’m not like Johnny, who can get lost in his own thoughts and want to hide. Everyone at the table would have been told to read the next day. I would have said, “We’re in this together!” But he said, “There’s no way we can tell anyone!” So we kept it quiet.
