Rick and Morty Announces Season 6 Hiatus

Fans of the adult animated show Rick and Morty will be sad to hear that the sixth season has ended.

Adult Swim’s official Twitter account confirmed that the show will be back on Nov. 20, 2022, six weeks after the break. In its message about the hiatus, Adult Swim told fans to use the time “to broaden [they’re] minds” in preparation for the rest of the season.

Season 6 of Rick and Morty started on September 4, 2022, and there have been six episodes so far. “Jurassic Mort,” the most recent episode, aired on Oct. 9, 2022.

Fans shouldn’t think that Rick and Morty are running out of steam because Season 6 is on hiatus. On the other hand, creators Scott Marder and James Siciliano recently said that they are working on two more seasons of Rick and Morty, and Marder promised that a new season will come out every year. “We have so much going on that it’s hard to believe,” Siciliano said.

“I’m not sure how much we could talk about, but in terms of production, Season 6 is coming out and Season 7 is being made. The writers’ room for Season 8 is up and running. So, about 20 episodes are in some stage of production, and we’re starting a new season. “

Rick and Morty Launches The Series’ Next Big Story

Marder also said that the overall story of Rick and Morty will go in a new direction in Season 6. The producer said that this was because the Season 5 finale of Rick and Morty wrapped up several long-running plot lines from the show’s first four seasons. He said, “510 was a big ending.” “It gave us a lot to live up to and a lot of work to do.

I feel like it closes that chapter and starts a new one at the same time. There was always a clear and present danger, and Evil Morty brought it out into the open to start the second half of a bigger story.

Since then, Dan Harmon, who makes Rick and Morty, has said that Evil Morty will still be a part of the bigger story he and his team are telling, even though the character seemed to leave in the Season 5 finale.

Harmon also told fans that Evil Morty might not come back soon because he was “an easy guy to forget about because he kind of took care of himself.”
