The rumoured release date fits with what has been said before and with when Samsung’s S22 series will come out in 2022.
The Galaxy S23 series will be Samsung’s next top-of-the-line phone line, according to a report from Korea JoongAng Daily. This will happen in the first week of February 2023. A Samsung Electronics executive who did not want to be named told the paper, “The S23 series will be shown at our own Unpacked event in the United States in February.” It is thought that the event will take place in San Francisco.
The rumoured date fits with what has been said about Samsung’s plans to release the new device. Earlier this month, the Korean news outlet Chosun also said that the device would be released in February. For some background, Samsung released the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S20 in February 2022 and 2020, respectively. However, the Galaxy S21 came out in January 2021.
Leaked renders show that the S23 and S23 Plus might not have the raised camera bump around their three rear lenses like this year’s S22 Ultra. Instead, they might look more like this year’s S22 Ultra. The higher-end S23 Ultra, on the other hand, is likely to have fewer changes to its design, but it could get a better main camera with a 200-megapixel sensor (up from 108 megapixels on the S22 Ultra). All three phones are likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon processor, which is the company’s flagship chip.
Korea JoongAng Daily says that Samsung’s newest phones might be affected by the wave of inflation that has hit many countries around the world this year. This means that they might cost more than their predecessors.
