Hilary Swank said on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday that she is having twins.

The Academy Award-winning actress made the announcement on a morning talk show where she was promoting her new show, "Alaska Daily.

She told the show’s hosts and all of America. The actress, who is 48 years old, said she is pregnant and also said she is going to have twins.

"I’ve wanted this for a long time, and the next thing is that I’m going to be a mom!"

Swank said. "I’m going to be a mom, not just to one child, but to two," she said.

She also said, "It’s so nice to be able to talk about it and share it" and that she "can’t believe it."

Swank and her husband, Philip Schneider, to whom she has been married since 2018, will have their first child together.

Swank talked more about her pregnancy on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" later that day. She said that she is now in her second trimester and that everyone was surprised
